Hot in Cleveland and Betty White's Custom Christmas Sweater

Betty White is probably America's most loved actress. When she was on Hot in Cleveland and needed a Christmas sweater to wear, we here at MyUglyChristmasSweater got to work. The cast required vintage 80's and 90's sweaters, with choices for each actress: Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and of course Betty White.  My Ugly Christmas Sweater owner Anne Marie Blackman worked with the show's wardrobe stylist for style and size request for each actress.  As with all television requests, the items were to be overnighted to the show.  In addition to the requested sweaters, Anne Marie created and included a custom sweater for Betty White.

Sending additional non-requested items doesn't always pay off, but the Betty White sweater was adored by the people at the show! They developed a contest around the sweater and promoted it on youtube and facebook. The sweater had a photo of Betty's face on it, with Betty wearing a Santa hat and mini sweater. The sweater even had pom pom dangling fringe on it!

Betty signed the sweater and the show got some great social media coverage by promoting the signed sweater as a prize to their fans. We here at My Ugly Christmas Sweater loved seeing Anne Marie's creation get so much press.
